An International guest and local TV star headline the spring launch of Comedy on Waiheke. As the seasons change The Classic Comedy network launches in to summer on Waiheke with some fresh comedy flavours.
Adelaide’s favourite son of stand-up, Mickey D returns to New Zealand this month to feature on the local pro comedy circuit. Having already impressed local audiences at the 2007 and 2008 NZ International Comedy Festival, Mickey D is back to play The Classic and headline the spring launch of Comedy on Waiheke on Friday September 26th.
He will be joined on Waiheke by local comedy raconteur, Radar, star of TV One’s new Sunday night series about self-sustainability, ‘Off the Radar’. Due to on-going television commitments, Radar has rarely been seen on the local comedy circuit in 2008. But he is back in September to harvest a fresh crop of ideas kicking off with his first appearance at Artworks Theatre on Waiheke.
Mickey D and Radar will be joined by a popular new face on the Pro circuit and host of this months show, Vaughan King.
Seated reserved tickets $25. Groups of 10 or more and students only $20.
