Surf Snow Cup

The Blue Pub is hosting an event called the Surf Snow Cup. The actual event is a board rider cross over contest. Which will see 48 competitors off the street pit their skills in the water and on the slpoes against 8 professional riders to see who can master both disciplines well enough to be crowned the "King Of Cross Over".

The Surfing contest will start on Wedneday 24th of September at Wai surf club Brighton beach. This will be followed by a one day slope style event at Mt Hutt on Saturday the 27th September. But that is just where the fun begins. On the night of the 27th The Blue Pub Methven will be hosting an extreme night of entertainment worthy of such an event. The night kicks off at 6:30pm with an open rail Jam out the front of the Hotel open to all competators, pro's and punters.

This will be followed by a VIP after party and presentation in the Samuel's bar at The Blue. The night will see three awesome live acts hit the stage including local hometown rockers Doppler, Dunedin sensations The Julian Temple Band. And to headline the night in a one off South Island show Good Night Nurse will be hitting the stage at around 11pm. Tickets available form the venue or Big Al's ski shop. There will also be free Corona and Champaign on arrival.
