For the first time ever, and for one night only, three streams of martial dance theatre will meet.
Three groups of performers take the stage with raw energy, vibrancy, and moments of stunning spectacle. Their bold physicality explodes with the masculine grace of the Maori, Indian and Brazilian martial arts.
Torotoro (Auckland) bring their original slick fusion of kapa haka, break-dance, and funk celebrating urban Aotearoa.
Samudra (India) create an enthralling stage presence that mesmerizes with their flying kicks, diving lunges, and acro-balance.
Capoeira Mandinga Aotearoa (Christchurch) demonstrates their Brazilian sparring game: “Is it a fight like a dance, or a dance like a fight?”
