Slow Food Waitakere Photographic Awards 2008 Opening

Opening Wednesday 22 October, 6.00pm. Exhibition runs 23 October – 16 November.

Slow Food Waitakere and Lopdell House Gallery celebrate World Food Day, the International Year of the Potato and Terra Madre with a photographic competition to be exhibited in the Spiral Gallery on the 1st Floor.

There is over $1900 worth of prizes to be won in the following categories:
1. The Potato as Food (still life, open to all) - $750
2. The Potato in Society (open to all) - $750
3. The Year of the Potato (amateur photographers only) – Fujifilm FinePix A820 camera (RRP $229) plus $200

Entries will be judged by international photojournalist John Chapman.

The opening at 6.00pm on Wednesday 22 October will feature fabulous examples of potato based slow food.
