In a 19th century final concert, opera rubs shoulders with tone poems from Bavaria. Verdi’s heroine in La Forze del Destino, forced to choose between her father and lover, suffers a tragic fate, foreshadowed in the dramatic overture by the use of the destiny theme. Richard Strauss’ Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel in turn graphically portray well known rakishness and a prankster’s merry exploits. To complement the Verdi, the bass-baritone arias are in keeping with the drama of this programme.

Puccini Edgar "Questo amor, vergogna mia"
Bizet Carmen - #14 Toreador Song
Richard Strauss Don Juan Op 20
Richard Strauss Till Eulenspiegels Lustige Streiche Op 28

PIETARI INKINEN Conductor
TEDDY TAHU RHODES Bass-Baritone

Good looks might hook them, but talent will keep them!

You can't be either or , because everyone is both. We've all got a talent - just a case of discovering it, and no matter who you are, somebody somewhere thinks you're good-looking... but finding that person can be a little tricky...

Talent definately takes precedence over looks the more talented you are the more attractive you become to others anyway just look at Mick Jagger come on he surely can't be seen as good looking but boy he has real sex appeal with the lady's (well back in the day anyway). Both helps of course but for those of us that are a little short on both then it would help if we got tickets to shows that mean't we could admire the talents of others!

Talented is best, then when you start raking it in, you can work on being good looking!

As I'm really neither talented or good looking (just being realistic, not feeling sorry for myself) I'm always in awe of people who have both! As long as you have 2 feet on the ground and not let your gifts taint your personality, you can go all the way to the top....and get lucky with a few girls (or boys) along the way :)

Since I am both super talented and good looking I would not know what would be better. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder and only I know of my special talents. Since I am also delusional it does not matter what any one else thinks.

Talented is best - you can always earn a living this way.

Good looking definitely helps get a foot in the door, giving you a chance to prove your talent.

Better to be talented, because that way you can earn enough money to pay for yourself to look good (if that is what yuo wanted to do with the money)
