After the unfortunate postponement of their August NZ date, Liberation Music are delighted to announce that Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson will perform one show only in Auckland on October 29.

Riding high on the success of their ARIA and U.S Americana Chart #1’s and ARIA ‘Album Of The Year’ and ‘Best Country Album’ nominations for album collaboration Rattlin’ Bones (out now through Liberation), Kasey and Shane’s Kings Arms concert will include new songs from this gorgeous album, as well as past hits from Kasey’s impressive multi-platinum back catalogue.

Joining Kasey and Shane on stage will be her father, country music master, Bill Chambers, and special support act The Sami Sisters.

Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson have just hit the infamous Conan O'Brien show joined onstage by Kasey's father Bill and a band including a banjo and an upright bass, as their newest 'Rattlin' Bones' hits American stores. Newly released in the U.S on Sugar Hill, the first album collaboration for the acclaimed, married Aussie couple has received a chorus of early praise in the States and abroad.

Those fortunate enough to have seen Kasey and Shane perform together in the past will be able to attest to the powerful rapport between the couple. Likewise as a solo performer Kasey shines as always with her impressive vocals and delivery. With a plethora of old and new hits to choose from, this concert will have something for everyone.

Tickets on sale Monday 22 September 2008 from Ticketmaster and Real Groovy.

If I were to pick a duet-mate it would have to be Xavier Rudd (Australian). Xavier can simultaneously play the didgeridoo, drums, guitar, harmonica, and sing. If I did a duet with him, I could simultaneously play the kazoo, wooden sticks and hang a cow bell around my neck and we would still, absolutely, sound amazing! : )

    Duet with Shane Magowan.
Apart from being a genius, both lyrically and in the boozw stakes, he would make even me look good on stage next to him.

I would love to sing 'Fairytale of New York' with Kirsty McCall cos it's a beautiful song and it would mean that she'd still be alive.

I would love to share a song with Bonnie Raitt. She's got the blues in her bones and is the consummate relaxed performer with big heart and soul. I reckon she could make anyone look good. The song would have to be Angel From Montgomery as it takes me to such a beautiful place.

I'd love to do a duet with Joel Gion of Brian Jonestown Massacre. Why? because he's the original cool kid...not in the trendy sense but in the sense that he appears to have no expectations or relationship with the audience..he plays the tambourine & grooves, & has no airs he's relaxed & natural, he doesnt pose but he entertains 100%. I like it when a performer doesnt weight themselves with the responsibility of "appearances". They just are..or perhaps its because he has presence & his eccentric demeanor intrigues me. I'd also choose Anton, but he'd probably kick me out of the band because my singing sux. :)
