TiMBAH – piecing it together tour.

This October don’t miss out on seeing Australian band TiMBAH perform at Shadows Bar for one night only on Thursday 16 October.

TiMBAH is a band that has been reviewed to be “Australia’s answer to the Dave Matthews Band”. The group tour relentlessly and – like their North American spiritual siblings, invariably win over crowds where ever they go with their lively brand of folk-jazz-rock fusion.

Lead by the intricate guitar work and age-less voice of Nye Stewart and backed by the rollicking percussion of his brother Abe, every band member of this uniquely talented six piece spectacle will entertain – jamming on anything from fiddle to banjo, harp, double bass, keyboards and mandolin.

The last few years have seen an intensive gigging period for the band, which includes an array of premier Australian venues, but now TiMBAH are taking their rootsy sound and eclectic mix of instruments to our rocky peaks of New Zealand.

“We’re really keen to explore the landscape of New Zealand and share a few beers and tunes with the locals.” Abe Stewart said. “Watch out New Zealand, we are looking to impress.”

We are certain Abe will impress, his bongo belting performance is an absolute crowd pleaser to all generational and genre divides.

We think they will blow New Zealand away as we expect big things from this band.
