As an authentic growers' market, produce at Parnell Farmers' Market is harvested fresh for market each week. As Spring becomes Summer, there is an increasing variety of new seasons vegetables, fruit. plants and flowers available. Organic beef and lamb are for sale along with fresh and smoked fish. There is also a delicious selection of cheeses. Free range chicken and duck eggs (great for baking) come in a range of sizes.
Order your Christmas crayfish from Ray at the fish stall.
WHAT'S NEW
Seasonal produce: Strawberries (locally grown), avocados, broad beans, snow peas, capsicum and aubergine.
Seasonal plants: Rose and orchid plants. Paeony flowers.
Seasonal products: Olive oils, Mexican sauces (great at BBQs), Italian Gelato, Lavender oil (from lavender farm in Glenbrook) and products, Christmas fruit pies and puddings.
Cooking Demonstration: 10.00am - Claire Aldous, Food Editor at Dish Magazine
Live Music: 10.30 - 11.15am - Corran School
Community Table: Mt Hobson Middle School - Fundraising by selling preserves and some herb plants.
COMING UP: Twilight Market on Tuesday 23 December 6.00 - 9.00pm.
The market will be open on all Saturdays throughout the holiday season.
