The Julie Mason Quartet . . . one of New Zealand’s foremost women in jazz, pianist/vocalist Julie Mason returns to the club to present an exciting programme of jazz, Latin and contemporary standards, with a few originals thrown in for good measure.
Joining her for this event will be leading Kiwi saxophonist Brian Smith, and highly regarded rhythm section musicians Alberto Santarelli - bass and Barry Young - drums.
A special guest, making his first appearance at the club, will be vibes player Mark Burns. Mark is a third year student at the Massey Jazz School and is one of the rising talents on the Auckland scene.
