Arte Kanela

Arte Kanela is an innovative flamenco musical ensemble from Melbourne, Australia, a collective of dancers, musicians and a singer, presenting an array of traditional and dynamic alegrias, bulerias, tangos and fandangos at ERUPT Taupo Festival.

At the heart of the group are the enormously gifted Tedesco brothers, Musical Director and astounding guitarist Richard Tedesco, renown in Australia for his triumphant rhythmic execution of the magic and soul of Flamenco, and Johnny Tedesco who leads the dancing with proud, prancing, virile male energy.

Arte Kanela play as if they have music in their bones; they dance with proud defiance and bold personality – as riveting as peacocks. Their music and dance, live at ERUPT Taupo Festival will be an inspiring sojourn in the world of Spanish Flamenco or a triumphant rhythmic execution of the soul of duende of Flamenco.
