STRIKE is New Zealand's premier percussion group - specialising in high-energy, choreographed percussion.
Elemental is STRIKE'S brand new show, which features four of the country’s top percussionists harnessing the sonic power of the elements; fire, water, earth and the airwaves.
The hour and a half non-stop show takes the audience on a breathtaking rhythmical journey and includes all new compositions, including two from top New Zealand composer Gareth Farr.
Elemental features a huge variety of weird and wonderful percussion instruments, including one half of a Bedford truck, a water fall, fire sticks, aluminium pipes and plastic cups.
The Strike foursome of Murray Hickman, Tom Pierard, Leni Sulusi and Tim Whitta, have been working out at the gym to cope with the demands of this new show, which pushes the boundaries of physicality and technology.
