Dance Dance Party Party

Wellington is the home of the first international chapter of the female-only cult phenomenon known as Dance Dance Party Party! Unlike typical workout or dance classes, Dance Dance Party Party has no instructors, no fitness goals, and nothing to prove. There is only one rule in the studio – no judgment.

The set-up is simple: an hour and a half of booty-busting tunes, a dance studio with the lights turned low and women willing to let go. At Dance Dance Party Party, you are free to goof around, shake your body without objectification and feel good about who you are.

Attendees can even sign up to “Guest DJ” by creating a custom mp3 playlist. Anything and everything goes from Broadway to hip-hop to 80’s hits (along with a cool-down song at the end); 20 or so songs that will get everyone up and moving. Ladies are encouraged not only to DJ but to give themselves a killer DJ name.

What to bring:
Water
Comfortable clothes and dancing shoes
Your girlfriends
All those badass moves you’ve been waiting to cut a rug under

High heels and uncomfortable clothes
Judgment
Boys (sorry, guys!)
