Dance Dance Party Party

Dance Dance Party Party is basically a group of girls and women of all ages getting together to dance once a week.

It’s kind of like a sleepover party with your best girlfriends, but you’re all a lot older now. It's also like dancing around all alone in your kitchen or your bedroom, but with way more space to move. Or maybe it's like the endorphined exercise you get club dancing, without being watched by people making you feel self-conscious about being your spazzy self. Or your sexy self. Or your goofy, silly self. Have you ever wanted to jump off the treadmill at the gym and do the running man because your favorite song just came on? Well, it's like that, too, but you can go to town on the moves because no treadmills are required.

The set-up is simple: an hour and a half of booty-busting tunes, a dance studio with the lights turned low, and women shaking it down any way they wanna. If you feel like rolling around on the floor, go for it. Got a routine or some kickin' moves to throw down, or maybe want to have a dance off with that chick over there? Come on with it!

We meet every Sunday from Level 1, 22 Webb Street in central Wellington (at the top of Cuba Street, between Cuba and Taranaki), and the fee is only $5 to cover the studio rental costs.
