Four adventure races to choose from … running and walking sections plus Junior Challenge and Paper Plus Challenge.

Vasque - Mt Terako Extreme Challenge
“New Zealand’s most challenging adventure run under 30kms ". This is adventure racing at its very best--in fact this is extreme adventure racing! Over a course of 20km with a 2040m climb, much of the route follows the mountain ridge. The Mt Terako Challenge is for experienced adventure racers and mountain runners only.

Mt Lyford Alpine Resort Challenge & SWAZI Farmers Challenge
9km 865m climb. This challenge is Canterbury’s premier adventure race, designed for both experienced racers and new comers to adventure racing and mountain running.

De Kikker Vijver Lodge Bushline Challenge
4km 400m climb. This challenge is designed for and new comers to adventure racing and mountain running.

SWAZI Junior Challenge
3km 130m climb. This is a great way to introduce 7 – 14 year olds to adventure running. This challenge is run on well formed tracks.

Paper Plus - Merivale Store - School Challenge
What a great opportunity for your school. The school with the most people taking part in the Mt Lyford Challenge will win $600, 2nd place $300, and 3rd place $100 vouchers for their school from Paper Plus Merivale. Children, parents and adults connected to your school and competing in any of the Mt Lyford Challenge Races will be counted towards your school. Note: You must register your connection to the school before the first race starts.
