Just Say Rock and RW Entertainment are very excited to announce the exclusive and never to be repeated New Zealand tour by Immortal, Norway’s Black Metal pioneers. In March 2008, our southern shores will be treated to Immortal's mighty and spectacular live show on their first ever tour in this region!

The band's classic 1992 release, Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism, became definitive of its genre, and on subsequent recordings Immortal never shied away from pushing their boundaries and setting a benchmark for black metal music. Their earlier dark, epic and intricate sounds that combined an air of mythology and death metal elements later evolved to include symphonic arrangements, ambient spaces and extreme guitar and bass distortion.

Re-formed and touring with their most formidable line up – Abbath (vocals), Horgh (drums) and Apollyon (bass), with founding member Demonaz as key lyricist – Immortal are armed to "let the battle rage on" stronger than ever. To quote the organizer of Norway's Hole In The Sky festival (which Immortal kicked off seven years ago and returned this May as a homecoming show): "Immortal has it all - their showmanship is second to none and their appeal stretches far beyond the regular metal crowd. Not only is Immortal one of the most influential acts to emerge from Norway's metal scene, they are also one of the most explosive bands around."
