oh dear me, i missed the closing date for the free tickets. what shall i do? i have a hens party on this saturday and those free tickets would have been very much appreciated. money is tight for this bride to be (i am the chief bridesmaid) how am i going to entertain a house full of noisy, giggling, slightly intoxicated females who want the equivalent of a boys stag do! Any suggestions would be welcome as would some free tickets to the girls day out. Make a special gesture to a brides other big day out. Cheers Sharks

If I was going to the girls day out (this would be my first time), I would take my new bf, who I love to spend time with! And my best friend. Since we all get along great it would be a really awesome day!
We'd probably start off with going on a long walk along the waterfront then catching the bus to the showgrounds.
We would spend most of the day at the girls day out enjoying everything there is.
After the expo has ended, we'd go down to Movenpick adn have icecreams!
    The day would be great!

The ultimate girls day out would start with a mini bus trip, with my Mum and about 10 friends to a licensed cafe for a champagne brunch. Follwed by some shopping and more shopping. Then off to a nice garden bar in the afternoon for nibbles and wine again, followed by some dancing and a dinner and of course, more wine!

I would take my best friend and her 2 girls aged 14 and 13 and my daughter aged 8. The day would start with a nice breakfast at a cafe some where clode to greenlane and then we would head to the girls day out show. Afterwards I think a trip to get a pedicure and manicure to relieve our tired hands and feet from all teh walking and touching at the show. After that i think we will drop the kids off and head to the pub for a nice bottle of wine!

I would take my best (yet recently unemployed) friend, and my daughter-in-laws (only have sons). These girls play such an important role in my life from supporting me during the down times, and always there.....We would create individual harakeke (NZ Flax) stars, and merge them together to produce an imagery of a 'blanket', that would cover all of Tamaki Makaurau Woman nestled together in sisterhood....not unlike the Milky Way...mmmmmm chocolate.......however, the practicality of me creating 350,000 stars by the weekend seems highly unlikely, not to mention the fact that my poor little fingers would be in desperate need of a manicure, and hand massage, let alone having to pay for storage for my 350,000 stars................................Secondly, the Girls Day Out event would be greatly appreciated because it would be the 1 day that I could hang up my Mother, Nanny, Wife, Slave etc....hat, and pamper my own self....afterall, it's all about ME and all the other beautiful sisters too.

My perfect Girls Day Out - would start off with having Breakfast with my best friends, then we would be whisked away in a limo to have a couple of hours of pampering (facials and manicures) then we would go out for a luxurious lunch with bubbles. Next on the agenda would be a bit of wine tasting followed by getting our make up and hair done for an evening out.

Girls day out - definitely with my mum - getting up and having the longest hot shower - so starting the day on the right foot. Then meeting her for brunch and then deciding where to go from there. I imagine a little bit of shopping, a little bit of pampering (facial or massage) and then thai dinner and musical in the evening would definitely be on the agenda.

Wow, it looks so fabulous how could I possibly NOT want to go!! I would especially love to go with my daughter who lives nearby as she and her husband will soon be leaving for the United States for an uncertain period of time. My daughter has been a great support to me through some rather difficult times - but mainly because she is an amazing young woman and I love to share her company. I know that she is really looking forward to going to the Girls Bg Day Out, I would love to contribute in any way to make that more enjoyable for her, to make more happy memories to remember when she is far away.

I have never been to this event before , yet I've heard so much about it....Thanks for giving us a chance to win some tickets....Here is what I would like to do, but have never done....On a girls day out, I would commence by serving my two best girlfriends, and my mum (cause I wuv my mum...lol) a light breakfast at my place, then we would head out to a day spa where we all would recieve a day full of pampering, full body massages, manicures, peticures, facials, hair do's, the absolute works....all the while popping champagne and snacking on fresh fuirt such as mango, papaya, grapes...mmmmm. This would be followed by coffee, dinner out at a divine resaturant followed by a fab night out dancing.....finally to all go on our separate ways home to our fellow husbands or partners for some romantic T.L.C.....oooW!!

Living in the country where my 13 year old daughter and I are out numbered by 3 boys and Dad I would love to surprise her with a girls only escape weekend! We could hit the big city shops, enjoy a cafe lunch, a bit of luxury pampering, more shopping then order in take aways and watch what ever movie we want and have a happy relaxing night. The next day would be dedicated to the Girls' Day Out, beore returning home to th "real world"

Recently I planned the best girls day out... it was so amazing. We booked Cornwall Park Restaurant & had a "Hats & Heels" high tea party. It was to celebrate Mothers & Daughters. Everyone glammed it up wearing huge hats, high heels & elegant dresses. The youngest was a little girl only a few weeks old & the oldest was a great grandmother. It was such a special day that I would love to repeat again as celebrating women of all ages really does make it the best Girls Day Out!!!!

We would start with a cafe brunch. A bit of shopping. Some TLC at a beauty spa and then spend the afternoon lazing around laughing at everything and nothing.

I would get my best friend around, have pancakes in the morning, go for a little spa & sauna afterwards. Then to the event, coming back home and watch movies the whole night long, with sweet & salty popcorn and toasted marshmallows.

I'm pretty close to my 4 sisters, they're my best friends, so whenever any of us get together - sleep goes out the window & we get up to all sorts of mischief! A late leisurely breakfast at a great cafe with a harbour view, unlimited budget in a shop till ya drop session in that alternative universe where shops cater to EVERY possible shape, parcels carried to our limo by a big burly man in uniform, our hair done, facials & manicures all round, laxing out later with drinks & dinner that was prepped, cooked, served & cleared away to perfection. Then heading off somewhere classy to boogie down in a place that plays our kinda music & it doesn't matter how old you are - so long as you can still move & shake it with the best of them! The next day we'd cruise over to Girls Day Out in our limo and get new ideas on how to do it all over again!

I would love to take my daughter on a massive mother-daughter day out before she hits the dreaded teenage years (she's 12) and doesnt want to be seen in public with me anymore! Facials, manicures, pedicures, massages, professional photo session, shopping and a quiet picnic at Muzak Point.

My best friend has had a tough time this past 6 months so I would love to surprise her with a massage, facial and just be pampered for three or four hours. Then we would go and have a great lunch, do some shopping, We would love to see a show whilst in Auckland as well.Finish the day with lovely cocktails and a great dinner.
Sunday would be at 'Girls Day Out' for as long as we wish. Go the Girls...

My best friend is my twin sister. A great day out for us would start with brunch at a funky cafe, then maybe a bit of shopping. We'd then do something active like go for a bike ride, a swim or kayak, or walk up one of the great hills in Auckland. A camera would be a must to capture all those fun moments. By mid-afternoon we'd be ready for a glass or two of vino in the sunshine, somewhere nice like Mission Bay or Ponsonby. A nice meal would be next, before heading into town for some boogying or to the theatre.

Fixing our makeup while chatting, slipping our high heels on, downing that last gulp of bubbles and of course checking theres not a hair out of place, my girlfriends and I head out for some retail therapy. Later collapsing under the strain of carrying our many shopping bags full of freshly purchased lingerie, shoes, clothes and trinkets we settle in to our favourite cafe for lunch, an outdoor table of course - its a beautiful day and we HAVE to see and be seen. Bring on the bubbles! And a fruit platter coz we're all dieting of course. Hop in the convertible then we're speeding off to the next course of shop-a-holic delights. Whew, need a man to carry this stuff! So - its off to a cozy bar where we can cast a critical eye across the menu (and we dont mean food here, girls!)and indulge in more bubbles. A bit of giggling happens at this point and soon we're off again, but this time we're in a limo. Dropping off our days haul we're heading for the latest on our long list of social occasions. Readjust the hair, make-up, clothes and shoes on the way and we're ready to step out at whatever society function looking fabulous. More bubbles soon enter the equation and I honestly cant remember what happens after that. Wake up with a smile (and an aspirin) the next day, reach for the mobile phone (aka the social hotline) and we're off again! Go Girls!!

For a girlie, girlie day I would spend it with my most girlie, girlie friend. We would have champange breakfast at home, cooked by me. The menu would include pancakes, bacon, and maple syrup with lots of declious fruit - we have to look after ourselves after all!

I would have a Nutrimetics consultant booked to come us at home and do foot spas, facials and Nutrimetics make up make overs with us. Then it would be off to the shops to find some new clothes to go with our new looks.

The day would finish with a lovely dinner and a few wines in a nice restaurant, followed by a ride home in a white stretch limousine.

My ultimate fun adventure would be to take my oldest friend [who i have just reunited with after being away from NZ for 20 years] horse riding along Muriwai beach, cooled down by a swim in the wild surf, topped off with a night out on the town, cocktails on the waterfront, 'Bellota' for a tapas supper followed by music and dancing. It would be a hoot to win a double pass especially as it is our birthdays coming up and we could spend up large at the 'Girls Day Out'.

I would normally be out fishing, body boarding or being dragged around Big Boys Toys or The Boat Show, by my husband. So if I won a pass I would take my husband along for a taste of his own medicine. Oh and of course I would make sure he had a full wallet :-)

On a Girls Day Out I would go shopping in the morning with my best girlfriend, have a light lunch, then a spa/sauna with body massage and facial and after a nice dinner we would finish the day with either going to a play or to a good movie!
Would be GREAT to win a double pass, J

On a Girls Day Out I would grab my two best girlyfriends and head out for a nice but lazy lunch at Andiamo, then a facial would have to follow up the road at Equipoise and then we would finish the afternoon off at De Fontein in Mission bay with a refreshing glass of Pinot in the sun watching the water sparkle! Bliss!!!!

On a Girl's Day Out I would probably do something girly such as get a manicure or massage or go to a winery, together with something boy-sy such as a building workshop or go to a rugby game - which is exactly what i'm planning on doing next Saturday after attending the Girl's Day Out - the Blues game at Eden Park!
I'd love to win a double pass :D
