Hawaii-based vocalist, chanter, composer, lyricist/writer, narration actress and sound healer Charlottemarie has recently been called to New Zealand to teach and perform.
Charlottemarie has seven albums to her credit and is widely in demand as an international performer. She has collaborated with many world music artists in a variety of fields, and has many accolades to her name including grants and fellowships from the Jerome Foundation, McNight Foundation and American Composer’s Forum in the USA.
Her amazing four octave vocal range weaves languages and styles from Western classical, Sanskrit, Middle Eastern, Hawaiian and African chants and songs.
"Charlottemarie has a voice that astonishes and a presence that transcends. With intuition and grace, her compositional approach brings a breath of fresh air to the ‘new music’ world." - Philip Blackburn, the American Composers Forum
"Charlottemarie is an enigmatic performer . . . otherworldly in presence and voice . . . there is a sense of the ancient with timeless resonance that stays with you long after the performance is over" - Honolulu Academy of Arts
