World Music Award winner and Grammy nominee, Anoushka Shankar arrives on our shores for one stunning and evocative concert only. Daughter of legendary sitar virtuoso and composer Ravi Shankar, Anoushka has been performing solo since she was a teenager and over the years has received two Grammy nominations and critical acclaim for her extraordinary talents as a writer, actor, composer and sitar player.

Anoushka’s spellbinding sitar playing skilfully merges classical Indian, electronic and world music and has seen her work with the likes of Thievery Corporation, Sting, Nitin Sawhney, her half sister jazz singer Norah Jones and a host of other fine musicians.

Performing in both the classical Indian realm and through a fusion of eastern and western styles as in her albums “Rise” and “Breathing Under Water” – she takes her music to someplace altogether new. Anoushka’s performance showcases her unique and breathtaking musical skills as well as her unmistakable charisma.
