Presented by the Ellerslie Theatrical Society
by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of The Techtonic Theatre Project
(by arrangement with Hal Leonard Australia Pty Ltd on behalf of Dramatist’s Play Service Inc, New York)
directed by Julia Leathwick

In October 1998, Matthew Shepard, a twenty-one year old student was severely beaten and left to die – tied to a fence in Laramie, Wyoming, simply because he was gay.

The Laramie Project is a breathtaking theatrical collage, exploring the human capacity to reach great heights of compassion and severe lows of hatred.

A truthful insight into the city of Laramie and the aftermath of this tragedy.

“One of the ten best plays of the year. A pioneering work of theatrical reportage and a powerful stage event.”
