This full scale musical theatre production of 'GREASE' is suitable for all ages and celebrates 50's America. It's brimming with denim, cheerleaders, slick hairstyles and great dancers that'll have you hand-jiving in the aisles.

Performed by some of New Zealand's most talented youth performers with a live band, 'GREASE' features all the unforgettable hit songs including We Go Together, Summer Nights, Grease Lightnin' and many more!

So come and join Danny and Sandy, along with those groovy T'Birds, sassy Pink Ladies and the whole gang at Rydell High for this high octane rock'n'roll party!

It needs no introduction - GREASE® is the word!

Since breaking out on Broadway in 1972 Grease’s place has been firmly established in the cultural hall of fame, having seduced the hearts of millions with its back-to-back sizzling tunes, slick hairstyles and great dances that’ll have you hand-jiving in the aisles.

“The new Grease feels like a newly minted hit – one part show and two parts party where everyone is invited” Jacques Le Sourd, The Journal News.

“A blast from the past” USA Today.

The National Youth Theatre Company's production of ‘High School Musical’ was a sell-out success requiring an ‘encore ‘ season - this show will be even bigger and better.

NYTC is a charity dedicated to “bringing confidence and life-skills to young people through the dramatic arts”. Founded in 2004, the goal is to build a sustainable, nationally recognised charity, focussed on developing young people through the arts.

In addition to our public audience, 8000 schoolchildren will travel to the Aotea Centre to see our four special school matinée performances of GREASE.

NYTC provides theatrical training and performance opportunities for young people regardless of their level of experience, age or ability. It is the only theatrical performing programme in Auckland that is non-audition, thus open to all. In past shows we have accommodated children with learning disabilities, reduced mobility
and on-going medical conditions.

Well-known children's television personality Jason Gunn, and world-renowned musician Carl Doy are patrons of the National Youth Theatre Company Charitable Trust.

Mark Leishman will be playing 'Vince Fontaine' - the veteran 'greaser' radio disc jockey, joining his two children in the show; one of whom, Paddy, has a lead role.

Strictly Limited Season.

Go the T-Birds, I mean what a cruzy life, working on cars, chatting up chicks, being smart arses at school, greasy hair, drive in movies, drinking, smoking and dancing, and the outfits, I would def want to be a T-Bird if i had a chance.

The Pink ladies are the ultimate in cool. Not for them are the puffy, full-circle skirts of the day. Oh no, they're far too sophisticated for that, and managed to find a way for pink to match EVERYTHING they wear (including Frenchie's unfortunately hair colours) without for one minute compromising their reputations as high school queens. With the T-Birds at their beck and call, with the Scorpions also vying for attention, to be a Pink Lady is to really have it all. Go girls!!

I quite like the idea of swapping the girl's world and being a T-Bird for the day. Messing about with very cool cars, hanging with ya mates all day, speeding down the levy, smoking (and not having to worry about not being PC while you do it), flirting (among other things...) with the coolest chicks at the drive-thru - and not even having to shower if ya don't want 'cos your hair is MEANT to be greasy! That sounds like a great break from what life is like for me! Tell me more!!!
