Fresh from a sell-out UK season, multi-talented comedian Lenny Henry returns to New Zealand in July for a national tour with his new show, 'Where You From?'

'Where You From?' brings together the very best of Lenny Henry, it's an electrifying mix of stand-up, music, character comedy and unexpected pathos all wrapped in his warm comic take on our world.

A cult star on television and one of Britain's best-known and loved personalities, Lenny has toured New Zealand three times to great acclaim. Since his last tour in 2004 he has continued to delight and entertain audiences around the world with his roles in film, TV and documentaries, but live performance reveals the true genius of Lenny Henry.

"He is a comedian, impressionist, singer and serious actor. His appeal is classless and ageless" Daily Telegraph, London

"Remarkable and exhilarating observational comedy" Financial Times London

"Brilliant... a stunning breakthrough for stand-up comedy" Daily Mail, London

I'm a Wellingtonian these days. The winters here are more tolerable since I invested in a windproof and waterproof jacket and a hat with earflaps that the wind can't tear off.

Brought my soon-to-be-fiance up to Welly (from Dunners, where we were both living) to meet my Dad. She loved it and, said what off-hand after a trip into town, "would be cool to live here". Two weeks later all sorted and living up here shortly after!! Been in Wellington for over five years now!

I am from the exotic locale of Tawa, famous for Lynn of Tawa and not much else. But I love it because it is where my family is and it is home. To quote the Finns, "Everyone I love is here".

Being a Kiwi that has travelled a bit but ever lived south of the Bay of Plenty, when I found out we were coming to Wellington my only positive was "at least it's in NZ" (we were coming from Australia!) 9 years on and we haven't stopped enjoying it!

Karori - Land of the Honda Odyssey. Everywhere you look you see another one and strangely enough they are all full!! It is a suburb full of families, they are everywhere, you can't get away from them. Luckily I have been assimilated, but have yet to trade my station wagon in for an oddessey.

Originally from the UK but brought up in Manurewa a very troubled spot these days, seems strange to see the community i grew up in turned into a war zone..... and very very sad. Glad to be living in Wellington these days.
