Steve Abel and The Chrysalids are back with their new release ‘Flax Happy’ and are celebrating this with a live gig.

A Nick Cave / Leonard Cohen cross with rustic ballads and mournful duets, Steve Abel returns with a stunning 13 track album which sees him team up with Jolie Holland for two beautiful ballads, and with local songstress Anika Moa for a stunning bilingual Te Reo/English duet.

The album also brings together once again his 'kiwi-supergroup' The Chrysalids which consists of the renowned and talented musicians Geoff Maddock (Bressa Creeting Cake, Goldenhorse) on electric guitar, Mike Hall (Brunettes,Dimmer, Pluto) on double bass, Milan Borich (Pluto, Bic Runga band) on drums, and Gareth Thomas(Goodshirt) with the accordion.
