Fresh from a sell-out UK season, multi-talented comedian Lenny Henry returns to New Zealand in July for a national tour with his new show, 'Where You From?'

'Where You From?' brings together the very best of Lenny Henry, it's an electrifying mix of stand-up, music, character comedy and unexpected pathos all wrapped in his warm comic take on our world.

A cult star on television and one of Britain's best-known and loved personalities, Lenny has toured New Zealand three times to great acclaim. Since his last tour in 2004 he has continued to delight and entertain audiences around the world with his roles in film, TV and documentaries, but live performance reveals the true genius of Lenny Henry.

"He is a comedian, impressionist, singer and serious actor. His appeal is classless and ageless" Daily Telegraph, London

"Remarkable and exhilarating observational comedy" Financial Times London

"Brilliant... a stunning breakthrough for stand-up comedy" Daily Mail, London

I am from Dunedin but have lived in a few places around NZ. I think Christchurch is a great place to live and have even started to support the Crusaders (not the Highlanders). Its great to see the comments from ppl who have come from all different places around the country/world!

Well I am from Gore which is very strange because I hate Country & Western music and I don't roll my "R"s.

I am from Blackball - the timewarp that is the centre of the universe where nothing moves...... on the far side of the hill where the Prime Minister considers the population to be feral, where DOC is happy to drop 1080 in watercourses - of course it is safe for the feral Coasters if not the possums, where women having babies have to be sent away to the safety of Christchurch.....

My husband and I are originally from Invercargill - now living in Dunedin. Despite what people say we have yet to see penguins walking down the main street...

My ancestors were Irish. When I did a check on our name history I found that it was a very old family with a reputation for either drinking or being religious fanatics. Which was rather funny given that in my father's family of 11 there 5 who enjoyed a drink or several, 5 who were extremely pious, and a Carmelite nun in the middle trying to keep the peace!

I'm now living in Christchurch but I am from Montreal. When I first moved to NZ in 2001, I ended up in Pines Beach (population: not a lot!) It's very cute but a bit of a culture shock coming from a city of 1.6 million...

Well, Stewart Island doesn't have a page so I'll put this in Christchurch, since I like the place! I think it's amusing living somewhere so near, yet so very, very far away from civilisation, yet still having Broadband! ;)
