The Splendour of Beethoven Series will see the APO perform three concerts over three consecutive weeks in celebration of the master composer in all his romantic glory, illuminating exactly why his name will forever be revered and beloved.

Violin Concerto
Symphony No. 5
There is perhaps no piece of music more famous than Beethoven’s mighty fifth symphony, from its dramatic opening to its triumphant conclusion. Introducing it in this concert is the Violin Concerto, a piece which took the instrument to new expressive heights. Playing it will be the sensational young German violinist Veronika Eberle, who at age 18 has already made her debut with the Berlin Philharmonic. Baldur Bronnimann conducts.
