Local hapu Ngati Whatua o Orakei and Auckland City Council will host another signature concert in central Auckland later this month to celebrate Matariki – the Maori New Year.

Native Noise ’08 will see KORA, Katchafire, Tiki Taane, Ladi6 and DJ Poroufessor conclude the Matariki Festival with an unforgettable concert at the historic Auckland Town Hall.

This is the signature event of the Auckland Matariki Festival and is an outstanding line-up of AotearoaNZ talent. Get in quick to secure your tickets.

This concert is only made possible by Auckland City Council, Ngati Whatua o Orakei and THE EDGE® who have unified to make an accessible ticket price so you and your friends can celebrate Matariki 2008.

There will be merchandise available and a fully licensed bar, providing a relaxed area with food available. Please note, photo ID is required to enter the bar area.

I went to this gig not really knowing how amazing it was going to be!!
Ladi6 killed it, as a solo act I'm totally impressed by her presence and onstage personality!!
She totally can rock it with the boys and as for Kora!!
Amazing!!
And when Ladi6 jumped on with them, she totally tore the place up!!
Tiki was average and cant sing very well...stink!
Katchafire were amazing as usual, but a tad boring!!
