Camp Quality (New Zealand) Incorporated is a Charitable Trust established in 1985. We ran our first camp in West Auckland in January 1985 which was attended by 22 children from throughout New Zealand. Since then we have grown to have regular camp locations situated in:

Auckland/Northland
Waikato/Bay of Plenty
Wellington/Central Districts
Christchurch
South
Each year more that 300 children aged from 5 to 16 years attend one of our camps.

We are a totally voluntary organisation with no individual receiving remuneration. Thousands of hours each year go into raising funds and organising our programmes.

Any child may attend a camp if they have been afflicted with cancer. We have campers in all stages of their illness. Each camp has a minimum of two Pediatric Oncology trained staff in attendance. In some circumstances siblings are also able to attend our programmes.

Other support activities are run during the course of the year. These include, Family Days, Reunion Days, Mini-camps and social outings.

Last January the event began with a convoy of trucks leaving Industry Road in Onehunga, heading south down the southern motorway to the Pukekohe Park raceway. The convoy had over 100 trucks in it with a total of around 165 showing up on the day. The day at the raceway included rides in various makes of vehicles, everyone who had registered took kids from camp quality for rides around the track. Greg Murphy also attended the day, hopefully Greg will once again be able too attend next years event as well. The final amount raised for the kids was around $12,000.

This year we have NRC (National Road Carriers) on board, they are helping out with radio and television coverage-Castrol Trucking are doing filming from the start of the convoy right throughout the day. This event will become a regular event and can only get better. We also have full support from the c.v.i.u who are helping in the passage of the convoy to Pukekohe. Officers from Auckland and Waikato will also be taking part in the days events..

There will also be a auction run on the day. Last years auction was well supported with many items being donate beforehand.
