Hollie Smith

Hollie Smith's voice stole the nation's hearts when erupting on the scene with the now-classic 'Bathe in the River'. Her highly anticipated debut album 'Long Player' stormed into the New Zealand charts at Number 1 and rapidly achieved platinum sales status. Hollie's extraordinary voice and writing talents have been discovered internationally. In May last year she started working with New York based Manhattan Records, a subdivision of the famous Blue Note label.

Hollie won 4 major awards at the most recent NZ Music Awards, Best Female Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Best Aotearoa/Roots Album, Best Producer for Long Player and was recently named as the bnet Female Vocalist of the Year as well as the #2 entertainer of the year in the Weekend Herald.

This past September, Hollie traveled to Philadelphia to record new tracks for the international release of Long Player with producer James Poyser (Erykah Badu, The Roots, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Common). The sessions produced 3 new tracks and some remixes, including a remix of 'Miracles' which Hollie performed with Fly My Pretties.

During the World Cup Hollie performed in the giant NZ Rugby Ball beneath the Eiffel Tower.
