It's back by popular demand and it's much bigger. AutoX Promotions has announced the dates for the 3 day automotive festival and what a weekend it is going to be.

kicking off with the Friday night Supercruise and Poker-Run around the city of Christchurch AutoX will be a jam packed weekend of Fun, laughter, events and auto extravagance. Saturday will see the 10am opening of the AutoX festival with • a car show • motorcycle expo • remote control car arena • AutoX exhibitors • Freestyle MotoX • Miss AutoX swimwear finals • Drifting and even a go-kart track located in the car park.

A major new feature of AutoX will be the introduction of the first official "South Island Motorcycle Expo". an area designated to the innovation and beauty of American, Japanese and European motorcycles and represented by NZ's leading motorcycle manufacturers.

Another new disipline at AutoX will be the introduction of Drifting and round one of the "DriftX car park battle". This exciting new disipline is sweeping the world by storm and will be complemented by go-kart racing and car park motard racing. Saturday night will see the first "Rockfest" where 10 band will face off in battle of the bands competition with only one being crowned the King of Rockfest.

For exhibitors at AutoX 08 it is all about new innovations and creating the opportunity for visitors to get up close and personal with their products. But most of all it's about making sales at AutoX.

Sunday at AutoX will see more for the family including entertainment such as sky-divers, carnival rides, Big Screen TV, a food hall, face painting and the finals of all competition events. Families can also expect to see everything from the latest technology in cars, powerboats, helicopters, jetskis, fitness equipment and camping gear. Not forgetting a knockout collection of audio, video and digital technology including some of the latest technology in automotive engineering.

25,500 spectators have now visited AutoX in either Christchurch or Hawles Bay in the past 3 years making AutoX the largest automotive festival of its kind. Feb 2008 will see AutoX marketed Nationally on TVNZ and with a reduction on ticket prices to only $15 and the introduction of another event day AutoX 08' is expected to be the biggest ever!
