“Appassionata” – Choral and Floral-Wildly Romantic
As the name implies, Jenny Gillies Wearable Flowers Extravaganza for 2008 presents the new face of wearable costume and fabric art featuring the passion of romantic flowers entwined with blooms, wild & magic.
Set to an original score by acclaimed Canterbury composer Hamish Oliver, the performance will be one of the first to be presented in the ChristChurch Cathedral using its new sound and lighting installations.
Jenny, a multi award winner from the Montana Wearable Arts, has combined her love of flowers, fabric and costume art to produce a spectacular show where her dancers breathe life into her creations under the direction of Canterbury’s renowned and dynamic choreographer Toby Behan. This is surely ‘a must see event’.
