The new Music in Parks calendar consists of over 40 concerts.

This season marks 15 years of Auckland City Council proudly presenting free kiwi music in Auckland's parks and reserves.

Music In Parks provides free concerts to the public and brings Auckland together. It also fosters the local music scene and industry, and has helped profile Auckland artists such as Goldenhorse and Nathan Haines in the early stages of their careers.

This season's programme has four series:

- Holden Astra Summer Sounds features popular music concerts
- The Culture Garden has niche genres of music
- Drake Jazz at the Rotunda for jazz lovers
- Movies in Parks with pre show live music.
