A collection of extreme close up portraits by Auckland Painter Stephen Martyn Welch of over 30 familiar celebrities from the world of NZ arts and television.
The painter has developed the portraits in filmed conversation with the subjects, and the resulting series was broadcast in a highly acclaimed series on TVNZ6.
The intimate portraits develop out of the interviews with his subjects as they reveal themselves in the course of conversation.
Subjects include Lucy Lawless, Ian Mune, Jacob Rajan, Kevin Milne, and Pam Corkery among others.
