A fun day out for the whole family to enjoy Lyall Bay Beach!

A variety of stalls, music and fun family activities.

Proceeds will go towards Miramar South School Children participating in the Surf Lifesaving Beach Education program, and scholarships to join a Surf Lifesaving Club.

    The astronomical name for Saturday is the 'Ides of December'. The moon is exactly FULL at 06:00hrs. It's at perigee at 11:00hrs.( opposite the sun and closest to Earth, 14% bigger than any other moon this year)

    We will have 26 community stalls, and about a dozen activities.. I'll have telescopes and have the New Zealand Almanac for sale $21. The almanac celbrates the IYA2009, International Year of Astronomy and is supported by the Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand, and created by The Phoenix Astronomical Society.
