2008 . . . The year of OPSHOP.

Cleaning up at the 2008 New Zealand Music Awards, OPSHOP won a phenomenal four awards, Single of the Year and Highest Selling Single for One Day, Highest Selling Album for Second Hand Planet and also the award for the Most Played Song on New Zealand Radio for Maybe. This last award recognising a record achievement for the airplay of any song ever on New Zealand Radio with over 10,000 spins in one year.

If that wasn’t enough, OPSHOP also won the highest accolade in New Zealand Music a little bit earlier in the year by picking up the coveted APRA Silver Scroll Award for Song of The Year for One Day and they also walked home with the Silver Scroll for the years Most Performed Work, once again for One Day.

The awards say it all really. New Zealand just can’t get enough of OPSHOP’s catchy sing along favourites, and they will be bringing the party to you as they tour to thirteen of New Zealand’s top summer locations.

Joining them on the road are high energy rockers AUTOZAMM, whose recent sophomore release Drama Queen features ten riff dunking, drama infused, melody-dripping tunes.

To add fuel to the fire, on 27 and 29 December you will also see these two fantastic acts share the stage with both Westie comedian EWEN GILMOUR and the top selling, highest radio playing kiwi favourites, THE FEELERS. It’s going to be a rock sensation with four of New Zealand’s top acts taking over in Riwaka and Lake Hawea. It’s going to be huge!
