Christopher Hampson’s exquisite ballet version of Romeo & Juliet was first performed by the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2003, following a hugely successful UK tour.
This highly dramatic and visually stunning production is inspired by the look of Fellini’s La Dolce Vita and Baz Luhrmann’s film version of this Shakespearean masterpiece.
Featuring a rich and bloody colour palette by designer Tracy Grant Lord, join the lovers as they battle against their families in order to follow their hearts, only to have their happiness shattered forever.
