Taupo’s newest event to hit the calendar - The Everest Charity Ball, a grand affair with dancing, celebrities, locals and friends from Taupo and throughout NZ, coming together to enjoy a night of fabulous dancing, a variety of entertainment and a few surprises!
The Ball is to be held at Taupo's Great Lake Centre on 30 August with a fabulous 16-piece Big Band as part of the entertainment through the evening.
The funds raised will be used to help young people from the Taupo region to attend a specially designed outdoor programme to experience and absorb the values that Sir Ed personified.
Sir Edmund Hillary believed strongly in the value of outdoor adventure for young people and he put his name to this facility back in 1973. Come join us to help keep Sir Ed’s legacy alive!
