Raz Bin Sam w/ Greenbeat and DJ Wade

For the first time in the South Island of NZ, rising international charted artist Raz Bin Sam with be touring with The Lion I Band and DJ Wade from Seaview Gardens, Jamaica (home of the elephant man, Super Cat, Bounty Killer). Raz, an emerging artist with a dynamic style and sound, comes from a small town in the centre of Israel.

His culture is ancient, war ridden and clouded with conflict. Inspired to shed light on his people’s story, Bin Sam moved to Australia to produce his works in English aiming to spread the Israelite truth internationally.

Today Raz Bin Sam is the front man of the five-piece original reggae/dancehall band 'Lion I'. The band uses a combination of roots, dancehall and Middle eastern rhythms. Uncle Jesse on bass, Gary O'Dread on drums, The Captain on guitar and Steve 'Inspecta' Nugent on percussion.

They have billed at numerous festivals including Exodus and Splendour in the Grass 06, Beats On The Beach, Brisbane Multicultural Fest 07 and Brisbane Fest 2008, and played with international artists such as Tipa Irie, Luciano, Mikey General, Ricky Trooper and others . . .

Bin Sam, also can be seen with Selecta Krazy Dayv and DJ Lennox Dread of 'Rub a Dub Sound' - a traditional dancehall style Sound System.
