BIONIC PIXIE: “Encompassing equal parts heart and cheek, Bionic Pixie is a ballsy and_sharp, brass knuckles philosophy at the command of its creator and_alter-ego, Aucklander and Bengal Light. A solo-project in its_infancy, broaching topics close to her heart - it's all about kicking_ass, sincerity to yourself and dilemmas with boys. Formed in early_2007, Bionic's sound consists of bass drums, frenetic arrangements and_computer generated echo-ey bleeps as a backdrop for a curiously_alien-like vocal style. Fleury's exciting live presence, her penchant_for silver get-ups and gold sequinned shoes make this one of New_Zealand's more exciting and innovative bands in recent memory… This is an innovative sound completely removed from the mundane_aspects of reality.
