The World Cinema Showcase turns 10!

Over the past ten years the World Cinema Showcase has become a highly anticipated event on the Dunedin social calendar. A miniature version of the Dunedin International Film Festival, it offers quality escapism of the highest order, bringing you stories and images from around the world and introducing you to the talents of new and not-so-new filmmakers. Getting better with age, the 2008 Showcase promises to be the best yet as we bring you a programme full of exceptional films – from Cannes winners to Beatles inspired musicals to insightful & downright shocking documentaries.

Highlights include the highly acclaimed The Diving Bell and the Butterfly based on the best selling book; Cate Blanchet’s Golden Globe nominated performance in I’m Not There, the unconventional journey into the life and times of Bob Dylan; last year’s Palme D’Or winner 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days plus the riveting documentary about the American lunar programme In the Shadow of the Moon.
