James Blunt charmed New Zealand fans on his maiden tour Down Under in 2006, selling out every single show. In 2008, everyone’s prayers will be answered when James Blunt returns to New Zealand this April.

Playing his largest shows Down Under to date, James will return to Auckland, and for the first time ever will headline a show in Wellington.

James shot to worldwide prominence following the release of his debut album Back To Bedlam in 2005. Achieving what few artists are able to after releasing just one album, Back To Bedlam hit #1 in countless countries, awards and nominations for James began to mount up.

Spawning the hit singles ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Goodbye My Lover’ James Blunt became a household name as they became the anthems of 2006. New Zealand and Australian fans answered the James Blunt call, proving to be the most devoted in his following. Back To Bedlam sold in excess of 650 000 copies in Australia and New Zealand, spending a combined total of 24 weeks at #1 on the ARIA and RIANZ album charts.

James Blunt’s phenomenal success was continued with the release of 2007’s acclaimed All The Lost Souls (Warner Music). Q Magazine declared the album “a fearsomely efficient follow-up to Back To Bedlam” while the Los Angeles Times warned “he’s onto something. He’s not making background music.”

All Music Guide gave high praise: “It will seduce anybody already won over by his 2005 debut, "Back to Bedlam," since it's a tighter, more assured record than that. But chances are, they were seduced by Blunt already.” And The Sun named All The Lost Souls’ cover art as the “best in years”.

Peaking at #1 in 19 different countries, All The Lost Souls has notched up platinum sales in both countries. Without a doubt, James Blunt’s achievements will continue to grow in 2008.

With a history of selling out tours the world over – and notably selling out every past show to date in New Zealand and Australian – tickets to see James Blunt perform live in NZ this April will not last long. If you’ve seen James live before, you’ll understand it is an experience to be repeated many times over. If you missed James last time, don’t make the same mistake twice.

I would sing "You're Beautiful to my 13 year old daughter who is sadly low on self esteem and a bit down, just to let her know that we all know she's an extremely beautiful girl, and one day she will know that for herself and feel better and happier. Perhaps she could go to the concert with me and have James Blunt reaffirm it for her too!!!

I would sing "You're beautiful" (and in fact do quite often) to my little two and a half year old baby girl Charley. She had a bad midwife and is severely disabled. She can't see or move, can't smile or hold a rattle, will never progress except in size from the newborn baby that she is. But she is beautiful, truely beautiful. She has given us a completely different life than the one we had planned, but teaches us patience and love to a level few will ever experience. Her baby brother Zak (15 months and also incredibly beautiful!) is learning a depth of acceptance and compassion that is rare to see in such a wee guy. We all love Charley dearly, for all her terrible conditions, or at least in spite of them. Charley took 8 years to come to us and although I wouldn't go so far as to say I wouldn't have her any other way (because let's face it, that would be insane. I would change her life of suffering and pain in a heartbeat if I could) we will continue to love her and care for her while we have her with us and beyond.

I would sing "You're Beautiful", even though "I can't Hear the Music", to "One of the Brightest Stars", my friend, "Billy".
I may be "Out of My Mind" but, "Billy", "I Really Want You" and "I'll Take Everything" - I 'll even "Carry You Home" to "Give Me Some Love"; we will get so "High".
"Wisemen" will think that I'm making the "Same Mistake" and that it will all end in "Tears and Rain", but we will "Shine On".
I will then be able to say, (with "No Bravery"),"So Long, Jimmy" and "Goodbye My Lover" of "1973". He will no doubt "Cry", but hopefully he will start over with "Annie".

I would sing this to my 10 month old daughter. I loved James Blunt and listened to him constantly while I was pregnant with her. Now when we are driving and she is crying I put on any James Blunt song and she calms down almost immediately....Thanks James xxx

I would sing "You're Beautiful" to my new fiancee Amanda. Like in the song I met Amanda at a glimpse when we were both in Barcelona, Spain. At that glance, I knew she was the one. In the crowd of people at the center of Barcelona there was only her. Like the song, I never thought it would be possible for us to be together with me living in New York and her living in New Zealand. I thought I would never really see her again, but somehow miracles do happen and when she came to visit me we feel deeply in love. A few months later I moved half way around the world to be with her. A little over 3 months of living together I proposed to her because I realized how beautiful a person she is inside and out. That is how I know Amanda is beautiful it's true.

I would sing "you're beautiful" to my late "Grandfather" He worked hard all his life in a Job that he never liked only to support his big family and myself and my brother.. He taught us right and wrong and i only wish there were more people out there like him (the world would be a much better place)

I would sing "You're beautiful" to my big sis,
Who when faced with turmoil can still produce bliss,
For her Caitlin and Sam and Jacob too
Only a brave woman has two under two!
    Her inner beauty radiates out
When near her children there's no need to shout
Even when cutting each other's hair
Or trying to sneak some of Dad's beer
When leaving bikes out in the rain
Or causing their sister wrestling pain
It's all dealt with calmly again and again
So my sister is the one I would sing this to
Because I know her children would sing to her too

When I sing along to 'Your Beautiful' I think about my children. They are my angels that send me those 'secret shared' moments that make everything feel great. My son always puts James Blunt on to cheer me up. He always tells me to listen to the lyrics. He deserves to go to his first 'real' concert with mum to see our favourite male vocalist.

To my beautiful curly haired little man who is the light of my life, and already knows all the words off by heart at the tender age of 3 years. If all the rest of the people in the world were as beautiful as him ....

To my beautiful niece, Neva, back home in England. She's 3 months old and changes every time I see a new photo of her. Sadly, it's unlikely I'll get to see her in the flesh before she's talking! )-:

I'd sing "You're Beautiful" to my daughter because it brings back memories of the two of us falling to sleep listening to James Blunt's album when we were very homesick while in Germany. Everytime we hear it we get tears and think of how great New Zealand is.

Oh my gosh, I have a tear in my eye. All these comments evoke such emotion and are beautiful in themselves. I would sing this song (though you might not want to hear it as I once scored an "amateur" in Sing Star!) to the people who posted such thoughtful comments. But I would send a bottle of Moet to the offices of Event Finder to say thank you for reminding us what's important and meaningful in life (and that's not James Blunt).

"Your're Beautiful" would be sung by myself to my dearest mother. Why?...because my mother is the most dearst & loveliest person in my world...she was there for me when I was down and there for me when I needed her help, she was always interested in my thoughts and never doubted me. My mother never put me down and she would always give her heart and soul where I needed it. Whenever I hear this awesome song, "You're Beautiful" I think of my darling mother...and will continue to do so!

I would sing it to my amazing husband. We recently had an awful pregnancy scare. I was hysterical and completely fell to pieces, and my husband was incredible and put me back together again. He is the most beautiful person I know.

I'd sing it to my boyfriend as this song has special memories for us. We met when he came to the UK to learn English and so I'd have to sing the song over and over again so that he could learn the lines. We've been having a some difficult times recently so hearing this song live will make us remember why we fell in love to it.

I would sing "You're Beautiful" to and with my husband. We played it at our special Rink's funeral and always makes us think of her, brings back lots of special memories for us.
It such a beautiful, honest and emotional song. James Blunt is nothing short of a genius and quite brave to share such deep, raw music with the world.

I would sing this song to my best friend Treve. I see guys look at her face in a crowded place, and they know that they will never be with her. She is mysetrious, independent and her beauty is timeless. Her big blue eyes are mesmerising. I think this song epitomises her.

not only is this my favorite song, but I would have to sing it to Fabio ... a gorgeous and beautiful Italian man I met in Fiji. I fell head over heals in love with him but will never be able to be with him. There must be an angel with a smile on her face because he has chosen to join the priesthood back in Italy, so "I will never be with you" is very true .... It's an impossible dream to be with the most beautfiul man I have ever met in my life!!! sad but true:(

I sing this song all day in the car and I love singing it to my kids when they are with me. If I win this competition Id have to run a competition between my kids to get to see who'd come with me. Who knows I may even get some housework done by them lol :)

I would sing it to my loving neighbour, who is a Grandmother and I would also sing it to her beautiful grandaughter.

Every Monday night she stays at her Gran's place and receives a weeks worth of love and attention that her family couldn't provide her.

We walk my dog together in the park and chat about life. She bakes with her Gran and brings over a spare slice or two! For one night a week she is safe and loved.

She dreams of a different life in a loving family and she deserves one. So I would sing to them both for their beautiful courage, hope and generosity.

My mother is one of a kind who just really shines for her children when my dad passed away in 2000 she took on both roles she showed us the real meaning of BEAUTY - words of encouragement, never giving up and treasure those around you. "My life is pure and brilliant" because of her and I know that if my dad were here he would say that he would spot her beauty in a crowd "your face in a crowded place" with no problems at all.

There's an epidemic "out there" which has hit at least 2 of my girlfriends. The sanctity of marriage has not seemed to have held its ground and these ladies have been left feeling flat, betrayed, unworthy and bleary eyed to say the least. Their whole lives have been thrown into turmoil. But regardless of the fact that they are feeling emotionally drained - to me they are beautiful on the inside and the outside. So I'd sing "You're Beautiful" to both of them and give them the tickets to the concert as well.
