Rowe Cup Carnival

The Rowe Cup Carnival is one of New Zealand’s biggest harness racing events with the nations best drivers, horses and trainers competing over two exciting race nights to win some of the biggest prizes in the harness racing calendar.

Held at Auckland’s premier racing venue and the home of the Auckland Trotting Club, Alexandra Park, the Rowe Cup Carnival offers the ultimate Friday night entertainment in April and May.

With hospitality options ranging from the Top Of The Park and Rutherford Room to the more casual Cafe and Sports Bar as well as the inaugural Rugby and Racing event in the Tasman Room, there is something for everyone at Alexandra Park.

Rugby and Racing at the Alex has been tailor made for rugby and sports fans, allowing them to watch the big rugby games, live on the big screens and TV monitors while enjoying a gourmet buffet dinner and the fun and glamour of Friday night harness racing at Alexandra Park.

The Rowe Cup Carnival includes:
- The $150,000 Taylor Mile featuring millionaire pacers, Changeover and Gotta Go Cullen
- The $150,000 Rowe Cup for New Zealand’s best trotters
- The $150,000 New Zealand Messenger Championship
- Rugby and Racing At The Alex incorporating the Super 14 top of the table clash between the Crusaders and the Sharks and the Rowe Cup racing
