Strap on your cutlesses and and stage a mutiny for a corporate challenge with piratitude. Celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day with the Great Pirate Corporate Challenge 2007!
Crews will complete a Treasure Hunt in the Museum of Wellington City and Sea, then battle it out in a Peg Leg Race and Tug of War for loot and booty.
What to do:
1. Enlist a crew of 5 with suitable piratitude
2. Cruise on down to the Museum with your crew to complete the Treasure Hunt - between Tuesdays 11 & 18 Sept
3. Then gather with the crew on Queens Wharf for pirate antics on International Talk Like a Pirate Day - Wed. 19 Sept. …quot; 12.30 to 2.00 pm:
* Be there for the Museum’s Treasure Hunt prize draw - a trip to Treasure (Somes/Matiu) Island for you and your matees
* Hear salty sounds & sea shanties performed by Plankton
* Battle other Pirate Crews in Peg Leg Relay Races & Tug of War for booty of ale & gold
* Then head to Chicago Bar for their special loooong pirate lunch
