Who Needs Sleep Anyway?, written by Roger and Pip Hall.
New Zealand's best-known and most successful playwright Roger Hall joins daughter Pip Hall for the first time in creating this comedy that celebrates 100 years of Plunket in New Zealand.
At times hilarious, wonderful and emotional Who Needs Sleep Anyway? will delight and entertain and connect with anyone who has ever experienced parenthood. Who Needs Sleep Anyway? is also a song of exultation for the Plunket nurses (and Plunket mothers!) without whom generations of New Zealanders would not be quite so hale and hearty!
This marks the first time a professional production by Roger Hall, and the first time a major Downstage Theatre production, has been performed in Hamilton.
“Hall knows his audience, and they trust him to provide what they want: a topical scenario, neat twists, good one-liners…” Harry Ricketts, New Zealand Listener
