The 2007 inaugural POD Awards - The Poddys will be held around the 6 iconic pods at the Village Roundabout in Havelock North.
The cocktail soiree will start at 7pm on Friday November 30, 2007 will gourmet cocktail morsels by Orton Catering and wine by Squawking Magpie.
This will be followed by the announcement of the POD award winners - the POINT OF DIFFERENCE awards have been voted by the public for businesses and services that consistently provide service excellence.
There are 7 categories and only one winner per category.
Winners will receive a stunning piece of artwork by EMA Scott.
A replica baby pod painted by one of New Zealands prolific artists Kate Mackenzie will go to auction.
The evening will finish with dancing on the streets with music by MIDLIFE Crisis.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the local fire brigade.
