An Evening with Joe and Lindon at The Loons

Lyttelton columnist Joe Bennett puts himself at the mercy of the audience in what is bound to be a hilarious night at The Loons on Friday 16 November, with fellow Lyttelton personality Lindon Puffin providing musical interludes.

Joe Bennett is an author, media raconteur and sought-after speaker who will answer any question The Loons audience throws at him during An Evening with Joe Bennett and Lindon Puffin. Anyone who has seen Joe at one of the many launches of his collections of columns will be familiar with his quick and sometimes scathing wit.

The man can talk, and his impromptu answers are guaranteed to bring the house down.

Why did Joe recently go to China to track down where his underpants came from? Where to next?

Multi-talented musician Lindon Puffin can also talk, and he plays a mean tune too, as we know from his fabulous Show Pony album and Figure 8000 road movie. At this event Lindon is charged with breaking up Joe’s rants with his own songs and stories.

Anyone who can set off on such an epic tour of New Zealand (playing 44 gigs in 108 days for 2003’s Really Real Tour) can probably meet this challenge and much more. Lindon is a consummate entertainer who can play the guitar, ukulele, drums, piano, harmonica, and sing, in various usually appropriate combinations.

So audience, toss your questions into the hat and sit back to enjoy the mayhem as it unfolds.
