The second annual Show Me Shorts Film Festival is a national event, showcasing the 40 best short films from NZ and Australia. Twenty from each country, divided into six categories: Lovers' Lane, Human Machine, Winning Way, Narrow Escape, I See Dead People, and Teach Me.
There are two World Premieres, and over half of these short films have never been seen in New Zealand before. Tickets are just $12 available from the Academy Cinemas, or $10 when you buy three or more to different sessions.
Opening night at 6pm on Wednesday the 7th of November is $20 and includes a glass of wine, plus the opportunity to see the eight finalist short films for awards in four categories.
These short films are by turns hilarious, moving, enigmatic, surprising, impressive and bold. Come and witness the start of some brilliant film making careers.
