Jonathan Lemalu with Malcolm Martineau

The NBR New Zealand Opera is delighted to join Chamber Music New Zealand in co-presenting a recital tour by the exciting young New Zealand bass-baritone Jonathan Lemalu in May 2007.

Critics and audiences around the world have warmed to Jonathan Lemalu's captivating voice and interpretive power in concert, recital and opera. Britain's Observer newspaper described his voice as "glorious" and his stage presence as "warm and masterly".

Performing with Jonathan Lemalu wil be one of the world's leading accompanists, Malcolm Martineau, whose many musical collaborations have included Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Janet Baker and Bryn Terfel.
