A mystery international star headlines this years Blues show at Music Mountain Matakana supported by an excellent line up of NZ bands. The star is under contract to other selected venues in NZ and is moonlighting for us. Backed by the very capable Brian Smith, Billy Kristian and Anthony Hopkins, this is a rehearsed and full on quartet. A clue ? Our star's first single knocked the Beatles from their number one spot in the British charts....
Hammond Gamble with his new Band, The Darcy Perry Band, Gahu and an unplugged version of Herbs to open, offers something for everyone.
Music Mountain is a natural amphitheatre set in pristine native bush combined with state of art sound and lights, just over one hours drive from Auckland.
Try and resist the sizzling spit roasts, wines and beers from the local vineyards.
Kids are welcome, 12 to 18 year olds and seniors half price.
