This is the 40th Year the final has been held.
There are three finalists.This is from an initial field of 30 competitors.
Joohae Kim ( Auckland) Piano Concerto No1 in G minor Op 25 Mendelssohn.
Chen ( Tony) Lin ( Christchurch) Piano Concerto No2 in G major Op 44 Tchaikovsky
Leigh Kereopa ( New Plymouth) Piano Concerto No2 in D minor Op23 MacDowell

They will perform with the Christchurch Symphony with Sir William Southgate as Conductor.

Prizes are Firste $7,000. Second $3,000 Third $1,500
