Jimmy Barnes and his band announce today that they will be returning to New Zealand to play 9 shows over the Christmas/New Year period.
Last December Jimmy Barnes got a unique taste of New Zealand, playing the summer beach circuit for the first time. Not only did he see a different side of NZ concert touring, but the tour completely sold out and left us wanting more.
Not surprisingly Barnsey is returning and it’s no wonder, this kind of tour is unique in the world. In the Xmas/New Year period towns and venues that during the year are inhabited only by locals get descended upon by thousands of holiday makers.
Local watering holes are transformed into proper concert venues with circus tents erected in carparks, marquees over beer gardens, scaffold stages, portaloos and mobile generators.
Playing guitar in Jimmy’s band will be Diesel who will have now toured New Zealand 3 times in a 12 month period. Seems he likes it here too!
