The Bike Vegas Blue Lake Multisport Festival is back - mark you calendars for Auckland Anniversary Weekend, 27 & 28 January 2007! The weekend will be in its traditional format but with an exciting new addition the TriNZ National Series.
So, what is the weekend going to look like? Saturday starts with a 2km Swim, in the afternoon we will have the Aquathon and then a great Race Dinner with Mark Inglis as our special guest speaker this should get you ready for what lies ahead on Sunday the Bike Vegas Multisport Race (Sprint Distance), the Contact Energy Tri My Sport Triathlon (Sprint Distance) and the Contact Energy Cup Triathlon (Standard Distance). So much to choose from! But wait, there is more the King and Queen of the Lake these precious trophies will be awarded to the best female and male competitor over the following three events: 2km Swim, Aquathon and Tri My Sport Triathlon/Bike Vegas Multisport Race.

5.5km Forest Run/750m swim
Peak Fuel Race Dinner

Venue: Royal Lakeside Novotel, Rotorua
Time: 6.30pm
Prize: $40 per person, $30 for RATs Members, $15 children under 12yrs

Contact Energy Tri My Sport Triathlon & Bike Vegas Multisport Race
Start time: 9am
Registration: SATURDAY, 9am 5pm, Blue Lake
500m swim or 3km Kayak/16km Road Bike/5.5km Forest Run
Contact Energy Cup Triathlon
Start Time 1pm
Registration: SATURDAY, 9am 5pm, Blue Lake
1500m Swim/40km Road Bike/11km Forest Run
Please note no registration on Sunday
Prizegiving: The prizegeving for each event will take place at the Blue Lake shortly after the last competitor finishes
Bike Vegas King and Queen of the Lake: This award will be awarded to best female and male competitor over 3 events (2km Swim, Aquathon and Tri My Sport Triathlon/Bike Vegas Multisport Race) based on total elapsed time. The trophies and prizes will be award at the race venue.
Event Venue: The series of competitive events are located at Rotoruas Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake), approx. 8km out of town on Tarawera Road.
Payment: Entry for all events can be doe on-line at www.triathlon.org.nz until Friday, 26 January 2007. Alternatively, fill out the entry form and post details and cheque to RATs, PO Box 372, Rotorua. Last date to receive postal entry 21 January 2007, otherwise enter on Saturday 27 January 2007 ($10 late entry fee will apply).
